Who is Benjamin Walton?
Benjamin Walton grew up in Gainesville, Georgia, a town about an hour north of Atlanta. He is the oldest in a family of five siblings (and four dogs and two cats). Growing up he sang in choir and barbershop quartets, while also picking up guitar, piano, ukulele and other instruments along the way.
Benjamin recently graduated the University of Central Florida, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre with minors in Creative Writing and Music. While at school, Benjamin had many wonderful opportunities whether it be: performing with in shows like The World Goes 'Round or Of Thee I Sing, creating and producing Golden Girls: The Musical and a song cycle destigmatizing mental illnesses, arranging pieces for educational performances, music directing many productions on campus, seeking and receiving training for SAFD certification, or taking workshops from people like Patrick Doyle or Michael Cassara.
Outside of theatre, Benjamin enjoys creating and playing music, singing acapella with UCF's SoNoted, playing tennis, eating good food, binge-watching TV, and spending time with family and friends. He also loves to travel consistently and loves to learn about other cultures as much as he can.
He is currently based out of Chicago, Illinois and loving the cold.
